Prior to establishing North Star, Simon headed up First Option’s High Risk Services. He has been both Head of High Risk and Director of Safety, Security & Resilience with the BBC. A former British Army colonel and MBE, Simon has a unique blend of experience in broadcast media safety and risk management, cross government strategy and policy formulation with MOD, FCDO and the Cabinet Office, commercial corporate security and consultancy, and the leadership and management of operational deployments in challenging parts of the world.
Based in London and Kent, Simon is responsible for all North Star operations, development and risk management.
